Marymount High School is a private, Catholic, all-girls, college-preparatory high school located in the Holmby Hills/Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles across from the University of California, Los Angeles campus at 10643 Sunset Boulevard.

Over 400 young women are enrolled at the school. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Marymount was established in 1923 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Marymount's founder is Mother Joseph Butler of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Marymount students and teams are known as the "Sailors."

Academics

Marymount offers a broad, college preparatory curriculum, including seventeen Advanced Placement courses and dozens of electives, from handbells to robotics, in addition to a traditional and challenging core curriculum. Average class size is approximately sixteen.

Tuition for the 2008-2009 academic school year is $23,900. Approximately 22 percent of all Marymount students receive need based aid.
